Cabinet Furniture
Solid Wood
- Wipe with a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately.
- Avoid excess moisture — wood can swell or warp.
- Seasonal movement is normal due to temperature and humidity changes.
Veneers
- Real wood veneers should be treated like solid wood.
- Avoid heat and standing water.
General Care
- Use coasters and placemats to protect surfaces.
- Avoid direct sunlight to reduce fading.
- Do not use silicone-based polishes.
- Wipe spills immediately, especially alcohol and acidic liquids.
- Use felt pads under decorative items.
Fabric Upholstery
- Vacuum regularly using a soft brush attachment.
- Rotate and plump cushions to maintain shape and even wear.
- Blot spills immediately — never rub.
- Avoid prolonged direct sunlight.
- Professional cleaning is recommended for deeper stains.
Natural Characteristics
- Pilling and creasing are normal over time.
- Velvets and linens may show shading or pressure marks.
Leather Upholstery
- Dust regularly with a soft cloth.
- Clean using a slightly damp cloth (water only).
- Use a leather care kit every 6–12 months.
- Keep away from direct heat and sunlight.
- Avoid household cleaners, wipes, or abrasive products.
Ceramic & Sintered Stone
- Highly durable, heat and scratch resistant.
- Clean with warm water and mild detergent.
- Use a soft cloth — avoid abrasive pads.
- Wipe spills promptly, especially strong dyes (wine, coffee, turmeric).
- Use placemats and trivets to protect surfaces and edges.
While extremely tough, edges can chip if struck with force — avoid impacts and dragging heavy items.
Marble & Natural Stone
- Porous material — always use coasters and placemats.
- Clean with a damp cloth and pH-neutral cleaner only.
- Wipe spills immediately, especially acidic liquids (wine, citrus, vinegar).
- Do not use bleach or acidic cleaning products.
Natural stone will vary in colour and pattern — this is part of its natural beauty and not a defect.
Glass Furniture
- Clean with glass cleaner or warm soapy water.
- Use a soft cloth to prevent scratches.
- Avoid dragging items across the surface.
- Tempered glass is strong but can shatter if struck on the edges.
- Do not use abrasive sponges; they will scratch the glass.
Metal Frames & Legs
- Dust regularly with a dry cloth.
- Use a damp cloth for marks, then dry immediately.
- Avoid abrasive cleaners that may damage finishes.
- Check and tighten fixings periodically.
